Centering Justice

Your world is changing so much in 2020. From the first wave of COVID-19 to the rekindling of the Black Lives Matter movement, our communities have been in constant flux. Yet often, the scramble to react to change excludes input from communities of color. Centering Justice is here to fix that.

In these monthly virtual gatherings, we honor and uplift the voices of leaders of color as central pillars in change making. With a focus on Black communities, you’ll hear from folks who are close to the issues and doing things differently. Their lived and career experiences will give more context to the narrative unfolding around us.

Each session culminates in a set of collective asks/demands from our panelists. Their wisdom will guide us all as we move toward a vision of radical transformation that centers racial justice.

Centering Justice emerged in April 2020 as a call to center racial justice in our responses to COVID-19. In each session you’ll hear timeless insight from local leaders of color, including Leaders of Color Fellows.
