Board360: your board's self-assessment

After a decade of working with hundreds of nonprofit organizations, our governance experts recognized the need for a concise, affordable, intelligent tool for nonprofit boards to use to assess their performance. The result is Board360™, an assessment tool that will let your board know how it is doing in five areas:

  • Board Operations
  • Strategic Planning
  • Resource Development
  • Oversight
  • Ambassadorship

When should a nonprofit board do an assessment?

  • Every three to five years to determine if they are supporting their organization's mission.
  • Before major events such as a strategic plan, a fundraising campaign, down-sizing, collaboration, etc.

Each individual board member completes a 30-minute self-assessment which we carefully compile and analyze. The results will help your board clearly understand its

  • current position
  • accomplishments
  • weaknesses
  • strategic goals for the future

The npServ team is quick to respond and resolve the problem – that definitely helps us keep our clients happy. Knowing that we have strong and secure IT support behind us gives us confidence to step up our outreach efforts and to move forward with new initiatives utilizing the Web. We know that if we have a problem, we can call up NEW and they’ll take care of it.

There are at least 4 seniors signed up to go to the upcoming Facebook presentation. They are coming to learn the in’s and out’s of Facebook and to figure out a way to create a Facebook account for us and to represent creative aging at Hannan – the visual artists, the poets, the spoken word artists, and everyone else. This is based on encouragement NEW staff have given us to explore social networking and what it can do for us organizationally, and what role membership can play in that. Eventually, this group of seniors will maintain everything from the Cyber Café that NEW set up for us – two of the seniors don’t have computers at all.

I would like to thank you for sending Diana Kern to the board of directors of Solid Ground. As president her teaching has helped me personally and the rest of the board also learn a lot from her. We feel blessed to have an organization like NEW to help smaller nonprofits. We will certainly miss Diana. She is an awesome teacher and any future organization will be blessed to have her instruction. Thank you again for all the help we have received from your organization, and for a wonderful teacher, Diana Kern.
