Meet. Connect. Serve. Now more than ever, nonprofit organizations need talented and dedicated individuals to help them meet their missions. NEW is excited to continue the tradition of Spring into Service, and is happy to partner with the United Way of Washtenaw County Days of Caring initiative. Spring into Service is an event designed to create an environment where Washtenaw county nonprofit organizations can meet candidates interested in serving on their governing boards and volunteering on their committees. This is powerful work that can make a real difference! This fun and lively event takes some of the mystery out of board matching. Spring into Service will include lightning round introductions, networking with some of the best and brightest, and insightful information on making on a difference for local agencies. 15 area organizations will participate and be on hand to meet the candidates. See list below. Make a Difference. BoardConnect, a program of NEW (Nonprofit Enterprise at Work), assists nonprofit organizations and individuals in the matching process. While at the event, you'll indicate the organizations whose missions interest you and afterwards we'll help connect you with them. While at the event you can:
INDIVIDUALS: Because of space limitations, pre-registration online for this event is strongly urged. Those who are matched to boards will be eligible to attend a Serving on a Nonprofit Board workshop for free. University students and members of YNPN Detroit are admitted to Spring into Service for free. ORGANIZATIONS:
