Mission Statement:
By Our Boot Straps is a 501 (3) (c) nonprofit volunteer commmunity service organization committed to improving the lives of today's youth. Through a variety of cultural, educational, social, artistic and spiritual avenues we reach out to disadvantaged youth at risk, providing a hand up and not a hand out. We offer teen pregnancy prevention, substance abuse support groups, gun and violence prevention, peer counseling, and various other activities to enhance the esteem and respect level for the individual and the community as a whole. |

Summary of Services:
Gun and violence prevention program meets with youth ages 4-18 years old twice a week to help prevent gun deaths, injuries, and violence. A self-help substance abuse support group meets weekly. Self esteem, career training, teen pregnancy prevention, and various other motivational seminars and classes are provided. |
